Emma Barnett
Age: 33
Time to diagnosis: More than 20 years
Emma is an award-winning, highly accomplished broadcaster and journalist. She’s empathetic and warm, but a sharp Northern lass who outwits politicians’ diversion and avoidance with incredible class. She achieves all of this while managing the symptoms of her endometriosis, which she’s had for more than 20 years. Emma was also famously, and magnificently, the first person to announce she was menstruating live on TV while debating menstrual leave.
She's currently busy finalising her book which shines a light on the persistent stigma of all things 'period'.
