Andrew Horne
Professor of Gynaecology and Reproductive Sciences, University of Edinburgh
Andrew specialises in looking after women with endometriosis, and endometriosis research. He’s driven to make real change: to improve understanding of the pain associated with endometriosis; to identify non-invasive diagnostic tests; to develop non-hormonal treatments for the condition.
Andrew and his team believe that a lack of awareness among
women and clinicians, as well as there being no conclusive
non-invasive test, is causing much of the unacceptable delay
between age at onset of symptoms and age at diagnosis.
It’s time to make endometriosis visible.
