Dedicated Room
The ultimate in sound and vision starts with a good room. Acoustic treatments and good design will make the most of your equipment. The design of the room will depend on whether it is primarily being used for watching film or for listening to music.
Speakers
Speakers come in all shapes and sizes and can be hidden or on show.
In a dedicated room floor standing speakers can be used. For a cleaner look the front speakers can be installed behind an acoustically transparent projector screen.
Acoustics
Some rooms naturally sound better than others. In modern interiors the biggest problem is usually that they are too ‘live’. Sound waves reflect off hard surfaces such as wooden or stone floors and glass and cause echoes. This means that the sound can be indistinct and muddy, which is a problem particularly with dialogue.
Adding carpets, rugs and even books can help. If you are spending a lot of money on your equipment you will want it to sound as good as it can. We can incorporate acoustic treatments into the décor and work with you on the design of the room to ensure it sounds as good as it possibly can.
Fun Stuff!
In a dedicated room you can let your imagination run wild. After all, cinemas are all about entertainment. We can install reclining seats, Butt-KickersTM, popcorn machines and automated bars.
Next steps
Once the basic design of the room is established we can look at how store your music and movies on a Media Server, how to best control your cinema using remotes or touch panels and how to design and control the lighting for best effect.
